Shipping Commitment
Captain Stone Crab takes enormous pride in every product we offer and strive to deliver them in the best possible condition on the requested delivery date.
While there are many things we do to mitigate the risk of shipping fresh food around the country, there are unfortunately some things outside of our control such as weather and transit delays once the package is in the hands of UPS. As such, the shipping guidelines published on this website are not guarantees of shipping or arrival date.
Delivery Timing Disclaimer
Captain Stone Crab is unable to guarantee the time of delivery, as this is subject to the local carrier. Most carriers deliver packages anytime between 8 am and 8 pm.
If you are placing an order for a time-sensitive event, we recommend placing your order early and scheduling delivery 2 or more days before your event. Most products can be refrigerated upon arrival to preserve freshness.
Early Shipment Policy
In anticipation of high package volumes, especially during holidays or other uncontrollable events, we may ship your order early to ensure it arrives in good condition.
Captain Stone Crab reserves the right to schedule the arrival of your order earlier than estimated to prevent delays based on operational conditions.
Carrier Delays and Responsibility
Captain Stone Crab is not responsible for delays in transit caused by high package volume, weather, mechanical error, strikes, natural disasters, terrorism safety control, local carrier mis-scans, or inaccurate or incomplete shipping information.
We do not require a signature for the release of any shipment. Leaving a package at an address is at the discretion of the delivery person and is entirely outside our control.
Signature Requirements
Captain Stone Crab does not require a signature for delivery of most packages.
Address Accuracy and Changes
Customers are responsible for ensuring all shipping information is correct before submitting an order and reviewing their order confirmation email.
If you need to modify the delivery address after your order has shipped, a request must be submitted at least 3 days prior to the scheduled delivery date. Captain Stone Crab is not responsible for delays caused by address modifications.
Returns, Refunds, and Cancellations
There are no returns, refunds, or cancellations allowed on orders that have shipped.
Captain Stone Crab offers shipping insurance through a third-party vendor called Insurify.
Shipping Method and Restrictions
All packages are shipped via UPS Next Day Air or FedEx Priority Overnight. We cannot ship to P.O. Box addresses.
Our cut-off time for both local delivery and next day delivery is 2 p.m. EST.
Shipping Days
Our shipping days are Monday through Friday. We do not ship on Saturdays or Sundays.
We also do not ship outside Miami-Dade County on holidays recognized by UPS, including New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Packaging Standards
All products are shipped in a corrugated box with insulated walls and gel packs.
Gel packs do not cross-contaminate food like melting ice and are made from non-toxic materials that do not liquefy or spill if damaged. Gel packs may be made from hydroxyethyl cellulose (Cellusize™) or vinyl-coated silica gel.
Key Lime Pie Packaging Instructions
When shipping Key Lime Pie, we use a corrugated box with insulated walls and gel packs.
Upon receipt of your package, remove all food products from the box and place them in the freezer.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation is required 3 calendar days prior to the delivery date to receive a full refund.
Email support@CaptainStoneCrab.com for assistance. For example, if you order for Thursday delivery, cancellation must be submitted by Monday at 12 p.m. EST. Cancellation requests after the 3-day window do not qualify for a refund.
Shipping Insurance Coverage
Captain Stone Crab partners with Insurify to provide insurance coverage on order shipments.
If your package is delivered one day late from the promised delivery date, you may file a damaged product and shipping box claim for a reshipment. Insurify also provides protection against lost or stolen packages.
Insurance Claims Process
Insurify is responsible for all claims and executes the requested resolution.
All claims must be submitted directly through Insurify within 10 calendar days of the scheduled delivery date, not through Captain Stone Crab or UPS.
Captain Stone Crab is not responsible for refunds or reshipments related to delayed, lost, or stolen packages. Claims can be initiated by submitting a ticket through support@CaptainStoneCrab.com.
Shipping Times
Orders placed Monday through Wednesday ship the same day for overnight delivery. Orders placed Thursday through Sunday ship the following Monday.
Shipping Costs
Shipping costs vary based on location and order size. Final shipping costs are calculated at checkout.
Delivery Areas
We ship to all 50 U.S. states and Canada. Some remote areas may require additional transit time.
